ENSO Society for Contemplative Engagement aims to help people navigate the stresses of life through mindfulness-based practices in both wilderness and urban settings for the greater well-being of individuals and communities. Our programs, based in Kelowna, British Columbia, and area, include meditation and yoga practices, mindfulness-based addiction recovery, workshops on mental health, silent meditation retreats, and teen wilderness expeditions.

On this weekend retreat, we will transform the boathouse and property into our Zendo incorporating meditation, walking, yoga, Oryoki (mindful eating), and art.

Dr. Dzung Vo is a pediatrician specializing in adolescent medicine at BC Children’s Hospital, Founder of Mindfulness for Teens, and author of The Mindful Teen. Dr. Vo will speak about mental wellness and resilience with a focus on teens and families.
Teen Wilderness Expedition
Our Teen Wilderness Expedition supports teen wellness, providing useful tools to work with life’s challenges and build emotional resilience. Today’s teens are facing issues that no previous generation has ever seen. Advances in technology have changed and amplified the struggles young people face. This expedition provides an opportunity for teens to unplug, explore breathtaking landscapes, and connect with others.
Refuge Recovery is a mindfulness-based addiction recovery community that practices and utilizes Buddhist philosophy as a foundation for the recovery process. Meetings are held weekly in Kelowna, BC.
Gentle Zen Form Series
Zen is the practice of coming back to the actual right-now-in-this-moment self. This continuous series will explore yoga, meditation, and breathing practices to help you establish a daily practice.
Teen Yoga Series
The tools offered through yoga can be of great support to teenagers. These classes include yoga movement — both active and passive — relaxation, mindfulness, and breathing. Suitable for ages 12 to 17 years.
